The Phoenix Series is the most
powerful motor available for a bicycle.
No maintenance is required on any of our hub motor systems. There are no belts, chains,
sprockets, gears, or pulleys. The wheel is directly connected to the electric motor.
While a conventional motor is mounted by its case allowing the axle to spin, our
hub motors are mounted by their axle, allowing the case to spin. Directly
coupling the motor to the wheel means there are no losses in the transmission of
power to the wheel. It is direct drive, as quiet and efficient as it gets.

Federal Speed limit for electric bikes is 20 MPH. We don't expect law enforcement in most cities to have a problem with 23 MPH nor with the increased power. Most cities support green transportation. Some states allow electric bikes to go 30 MPH. Drive responsibly and always wear a helmet. |

Eonyx Batteries We have completed range testing of our Eonyx 48V Lithium EV Battery pack. Tests were run on a two lane asphalt road. Using a Phoenix Racer 4840 on a 26" wheel (same test bike and rider we always use), high speed test was run at full throttle for 1.5 miles, u-turn, repeat until battery cutoff. Result was 26 miles. Low speed testing on the same course at 20 MPH yielded 61.35 miles. The pack weighs 29.2 lbs (half the weight of standard batteries), but stores more than twice the useful power. All of our hub power systems (Phoenix, RoadRunner, and Sparrow) are plug-compatible with our new battery. Unplug the SLA, plug in the Lithium, and go over twice as far. These are exciting times!
