This is a threaded hub, 135mm wide. The thread fits a standard bicycle freewheel found on single-speed through 8-speed sprocket sets.

A 7-speed freewheel is included with rear motor kits. You can substitute an 8-speed freewheel on your order for the same price by selecting that option when ordering, or writing it in the "special instructions" section of your order.

While a 9-speed freewheel can be used, it requires extra washers or spacers between the freewheel and the inside of your frame to keep the freewheel from scraping against your frame. We do not recommend using a 9-speed freewheel since your rear forks must be spread wider, and your alignment may be off when finished.
