Demonstrated below is one of the benefits related to your lithium battery investment. Piled on the left side of each picture are the SLA batteries you would need to equal the amount of energy packed in the little lithium battery on the right side of each picture. That's not all though! While the average recharge cycles obtained with SLA batteries are merely 250 with high-powered e-bikes, you can expect at least 800 recharge cycles from your lithium manganese battery pack! The chemistry used for these cells is called "Lithium Manganese". They do not use a BMS. Your APM-Display will take care of shutting your system down before reaching the low voltage point, and your charger will take care of shutting down when your pack is charged. It is important that you read and understand the safety information and lithium battery owner's manual. As demonstrated below, these little batteries contain a lot of power. Like many things, they are safe unless tampered with, or not used as intended. For most riders, SLA batteries last 2-3 years. For our lithium battery, it would be 6-9 years. While there are many lithium batteries on the market, you must understand that all lithium batteries will NOT power Phoenix systems. Phoenix is extremely demanding of its battery, so we have tested and failed many batteries over the years. This is the first to have consistently powered our Phoenix systems flawlessly. They are less than 1/3 the size and weight of their equivalent SLA battery. NOTE: While the lithium manganese battery is only rated at 15AH, it provides the same amount of energy as the 20AH SLA batteries. Amp Hours are rated differently based on the chemistry, which can be confusing in cases like this. When possible, we take specs that are confusing to most people and translate them into real-world figures that make sense...as we have done below.

This 72V Lithium Manganese battery pack is made up of two 36V packs. Each pack is wired separately with its own keyswitch, fuse, charging port, and 50A anderson connector for power output. We supply a "Y" adapter to connect your two 36V packs in series to your controller. This keeps each pack as its own unit, making battery removal or transport very easy.
