Electric Rider Service Center
Electric Rider is the factory service center for Crystalyte Phoenix, RoadRunner and Sparrow. We try to assure value for all of our service work. That is, if we believe the cost is lower and value is greater in replacement, we will apply our diagnostic fee toward the purchase of a replacement. Why do we have a diagnostic fee? Because we must pay our technicians regardless of whether you decide to repair or replace the unit or not. Our test equipment is set up to use the connectors we supply. If you change connectors, we cannot service your unit.
Standard fees are shown below. Common sense is applied, however, so if all you need is a replacement connector on a motor, we will not open the motor, replace sensors, repaint, etc, and the fee will be a fraction of the cost shown.

| Phoenix | Controller | $55 diagnostic fee, which covers first hour of labor. $55/hr for repairs that require more than one hour of labor. Parts are not included in the labor charge. Generally, if we can't repair it within 2 hours it will be more cost effective to replace the controller than to repair it. Diagnostic fee applied toward replacement if repair is not cost-effective. |

| Other brands | Motor & Controller | Estimate made per-incident based on difficulty of work and time required. Keep in mind that our test/diagnostic equipment is furnished with the standard connectors we use for our hub motor kits, so some other brands may require the installation of our connectors to be able to diagnose/repair. If this is the case, we will not be able to re-install your old connectors cost effectively. We stock all connectors and wiring for our systems, so you can order the mating connector as well in case we do not have all of your components. Some cases do not require us to change the connectors, but we won't know for sure until we try. |
| Custom Wiring | Custom extensions, connectors, etc. | Estimate made per-incident based on difficulty of work and time required. We refuse to build or send anything out the door that we feel might be unsafe or considered unprofessional, so if you send parts for us to solder or build, please make sure they are right for the application. |
Our goal is to get you back on the road quickly at the lowest cost. We have very few products that go bad after their warranty period expires, but things do happen. If you originally purchased from ElectricRider, you are eligible for a discount on items that must be replaced just outside of warranty.
